The Historical New York Times
The
Historical New York Times provides full images of articles from the first issue of the
newspaper in 1851 (then called the New York Daily Times) until three years before the
current year. It's searchable by keyword, subject, author, and article title, and includes illustrations and
advertisements. Access it from home with your Verona Public Library card!
Instead of using Google, try searching our databases for
up-to-date information on a variety of topics. Use them for
homework assignments, consumer and health information, genealogy
research, or for finding old newspaper articles.
These databases provide full-text
information from hundreds of magazines, newspapers, and reference
sources, including the Historical New York Times, Encyclopædia Britannica and the Oxford
English Dictionary. Type in the number on your Verona Public
Library card for full access at home or in the Library.
