Hilda Jaffe: When Verona Dared to be Different
Mar 1 @ 3:00 pm

Hilda Jaffe, former president of the Verona Board of Ed., will recall the 1968-69 experiment of busing students from Newark to Verona.  This innovative project of integration (following soon after the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.), caused tension and division in our community.  50 years later, Ms. Jaffe will reflect on this moment in Verona’s history.
