The Lenni Lenape: New Jersey’s Indigenous People

This presentation will explore the history of indigenous peoples in New Jersey and the integral roles, impact, and influence they have had, both past and present. Most specifically the program will uncover and discuss an the Lenni Lenape who inhabited what is now New Jersey and parts of New York, and their role in shaping Passaic County’s landscape.

This program is part of the County of Passaic’s yearly lecture series prepared by the Department of Cultural & Historic Affairs.
