Verona Public Library Makerspace Requirements for Use

All makers must have a current Waiver and Release of Liability signed by the Maker and Parent/Guardian (for those under the age of 18)

Users must sign-in prior to using the Makerspace

Signature confirms user agrees to abide by all Makerspace and Verona Public Library Rules

Makers must be at least 10 years of age to be in the Makerspace. Exceptions may occur in cases of library staff led programming

Makers under the age of 10 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at ALL TIMES.

The room is limited to four makers at a time unless there is a special program being hosted by the Library in the Makerspace

All projects and materials are subject to approval by library staff prior to use of any Makerspace equipment

Makers will ensure their workspace is clean upon leaving the Makerspace

All tools, materials, and equipment will be used with proper safety procedures, will be returned to their proper location and shall be used for their indicated purpose ONLY

Makers will report any accidents to a library staff member immediately

Makers understand that materials and equipment for the Makerspace are expensive and limited; Makers will avoid wasting supplies and only use supplies for their indicated use

Makers are responsible for damage to tools and equipment that results from misuse

Makers will respect staff, volunteers and other Makers at ALL times

Makers will follow the instructions of staff and volunteers

Makers understand and agree that NO weapons or weapon components are permitted in the Makerspace

Makerspace computers are for Makerspace use ONLY and may only be used for creating or researching projects

No person under the age of 18 may use the 3-D printer without adult supervision

No food or drink is permitted in the Makerspace
