Registration Policy

Eligibility for Full borrower’s privileges shall include the following:

a) Residents of Verona, minimum age 5
b) Non-resident taxpayers

Applicants for Full borrowing privileges must provide:

a) Full name
b) Current home address (and address of Verona property if non-resident taxpayer)
c) Telephone number and/or email address
d) Birth date (if minor, under the age of 18)
e) At least one form of documentary proof to establish name and address, or proof from a parent or guardian if the applicant is under the age of 18

Eligibility for Courtesy borrower privileges include the following:

a) Non-residents who are regularly employed in Verona
b) Non-residents attending school in Verona

Applicants for Courtesy borrower privileges must provide:

a) Full name
b) Current home address
c) Telephone number and/or email address
d) Birth date (if minor, under the age of 18)
e) One form of documentary proof to establish name and one form of documentary proof to establish employment or enrollment at a school in Verona

Non-residents may purchase a Paid borrower’s card for an annual fee of $150. ReBL privileges are not offered with the purchase of a non-resident membership to the Verona Public Library.

Paid and Courtesy cards only allows the borrower access to Verona materials and subscription databases. It does not allow access to materials from other PALS Plus libraries, PALS Plus electronic materials, or ReBL libraries.

The borrower shall be responsible for all use made of his/her card. If a card is lost or stolen, the borrower is responsible for all items charged to it until the loss is reported. Each individual is responsible for informing the library of his/her current address and telephone number and/or email address.

Full member library cards shall be issued for a period of three years. The card will be renewed if the patron still meets the membership qualifications. Paid and Courtesy library cards shall expire one year from the date the card is issued.
