Do you enjoy reading and sharing your opinions on books? If so, we would love to feature your book reviews on the library’s website!
In order for your review to appear on the library’s website, please select your book using these guidelines:
- Choose only YA or Tween books.
- Newer books only – published within the past 3 years (or not yet published!)
- Should be available through the PALS Plus connected library system, or through the digital platforms Hoopla or Libby as an ebook or audiobook.
When you write your review, please keep these things in mind:
- Your review can be written casually, but remember to keep it clean. No bad language, please!
- Avoid spoilers. You want to make other readers interested, but don’t give away any important plot points or twists!
- A review is more than just a summary. We want to know your unique opinion on whether or not you liked the book – and why!
You may earn community service credit for writing your review.
- You must be an active volunteer enrolled in the library’s teen volunteer program.
- The book you choose must be approved by Miss Jenna in advance.
- You earn 1 community service hour for every 100 pages, plus 1 hour for your review submission. (For example, a 350 page book is 3.5 hours – plus 1 hour for your review = 4.5 hours.)
