How can a parent or caregiver make the most of a storytime or sing-along?
- It’s okay to take a break. If your child’s behavior is affecting the enjoyment of the stories, please feel free to step out of the room briefly and return when they are ready.
- Model good listening, following directions, and respectful behavior. This helps ensure everyone is able to enjoy Storytime and kids begin to learn how to behave in a group environment.
- Participate along with your child, they learn by watching you. Have fun with us!
Please keep in mind...
For children’s safety, ensure that they are supervised according to the library’s Safe Child Policy. Parents/caregivers must stay with children up to age 6 during programs. For children up to fourth grade, parents/caregivers must remain in the library. Students in fifth grade and up may attend programs independently.
