As part of our service to teens, Verona Public Library provides teen the opportunity to earn community service hours through volunteer work. Allowing teens the opportunity to volunteer is mutually beneficial to the teen, the community, and the Verona Public Library. Volunteering gives teens the opportunity to acquire a number of the 40 Developmental Assets (www.search-institute.org), which research has demonstrated helps prevent teens from engaging in high risk behaviors. Additionally, teen volunteers help the library accomplish many basic tasks and engage in successful library programming.
How To Become a Teen Volunteer
Teens ages 13-17 can sign up to volunteer at the Verona Public Library. Volunteer spots are limited and vary depending on the library needs and availability. We will do our best to assign teens to an area of their interest. Submitting an application does not guarantee placement into the program.
If you have any questions please feel free to email Ms. Mack at email@example.com.
Teen Advisory Board
Verona Public Library TAB members are teens who are passionate about and dedicated to making sure the library is meeting the needs and wants of teens in the community.
Teens in grades 8 -12 are invited to apply.
