The Youth Services Department at Verona Public Library provides a welcoming space that inspires a love of reading, exploration, and creativity. Our collection includes diverse and engaging materials that reflect the many interests and experiences of our community. We offer a variety of exciting programs that spark curiosity, encourage lifelong learning, and foster connections among young people. We provide community service opportunities for teen volunteers, empowering them to develop skills, give back, and make a difference.
At Verona Public Library, we are here to nurture imaginations, build confidence, and create a sense of belonging for kids and teens of all ages.
Upcoming Programs for Kids & Teens

Verona Public Library offers books, resources, and programs for children of all ages and their families. From storytimes to science, musicians and bookclubs to our early literacy program, 1000 Books Before Kindergarten, the Verona Library aims to establish a love of reading and learning. The Teen Room contains the collections for Young Adult and Tween books, graphic novels, manga, and biographies and nonfiction that appeal to middle school and high school students. We also have a growing collection of books in Spanish for YA and Middle Grade readers.
The Teen Room offers two computers, free Wi-Fi, a charging station, and a comfortable seating area.
Need to earn community service hours? The library offers volunteer service opportunities for students in grades 8th through 12th. We have rolling registration, so you can fill out the application anytime to get on our volunteer roster.
Library cards are free and available to children ages 5 and over who live in or attend school in Verona. Your parent or guardian must apply for your card for you (either online or in person), but you will be responsible for bringing your card to the library every time you’d like to borrow materials.
