Summer Reading Challenge 2025
The children’s and teen summer reading challenge runs from May 25 to September 1 for 100 days of reading!
Keep reading throughout the summer and for each milestone you can earn raffle tickets to redeem for prizes!
The library also offfers a variety of fun programs and activities to offer kids of all ages.

We have something for all ages! Students, please be sure to register according to the grade you’ll enter in September 2025.
- Click the crayon that corresponds with your age group.
- Register your account on Engaged Patrons and you’ll be officially enrolled in our summer reading challenge!
- Then choose whether to track your reading online or on paper – or both! For paper users, download a printable log or pick one up at the library.
Read-to-Me Rockstars
Birth to Kindergarten
As part of the 1000 Books Before Kindergarden Summer Read-to-Me Edition, complete activities to choose a prize from the Treasure Chest!

Elementary
Read 1000 minutes in 100 days! For every 100 minutes you read, visit the library for a raffle entry for weekly and grand prizes!
Technicolor Teens
Teens & Tweens
Read 10 books in 100 days! For every book you complete, visit the library to earn a raffle entry for weekly and grand prizes!!

How does it work?
- Watch this video to learn more about our summer reading challenge!
- Register for this program right here and start reading!
- Every time you reach a milestone – 100 minutes for grades 1 through 5; and 1 book for grades 6 through 12 – visit the library to claim your raffle ticket.
- Tickets reveal an instant prize and also count as your entries into weekly raffles AND our big prizes pulled at the end of the summer!
What can you win?
- Each raffle ticket is a scratch-off ticket that reveals an instant prize!
- Participants in grades 1 through 12 are automatically entered for weekly prizes (pulled on Mondays throughout the summer) and our grand prizes (pulled at the end of the summer!)
